The chiefs and people of Cape Coast in the Central Region came together on Saturday to celebrate the annual Oguaa Fetu Afahye Festival.
The occasion, which drew large crowds from across the country and beyond, once again showcased the rich culture and traditions of Ghana’s first capital.
The festival featured a series of cultural performances and traditional displays from Asafo groups. Chiefs and Queen Mothers, led by Osabarimba Kwesi Atta II, Paramount Chief of Cape Coast, were carried in a grand procession through the principal streets of the town, adding pageantry to the celebration.
This year’s event, held under the theme “Innovate to Elevate,” recorded impressive patronage, with both locals and foreigners joining in the festivities.
