The 2025 GHALCA Top 4 Tournament will begin on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at the University of Ghana Stadium, with an opening round of fixtures that promises competitive football ahead of the new season.
Premier League champions Gold Stars FC will open the competition against Asante Kotoko at 3:00 pm (15:00 GMT). Later in the evening, Hearts of Oak face Heart of Lions, last season’s runners-up, at 6:00 pm (18:00 GMT).
Matchday two is scheduled for Friday, August 22, featuring Gold Stars versus Hearts of Oak, followed by Heart of Lions against Kotoko.
The final round takes place on Sunday, August 24, with Gold Stars meeting Heart of Lions, before the headline fixture between Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak closes the tournament.
The Top Four provides a competitive platform for Gold Stars and Asante Kotoko as they prepare for their CAF Inter-club campaigns, while Hearts of Oak and Heart of Lions will use the games as part of their build-up to the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
