The Chief of Kokoado Apewosika Oyeadeyie Nana Kweku Ennu III, in collaboration with his elders, has commissioned a 30-seater water closet toilet facility and a 10-unit bathroom complex at the community school park.

The commissioning ceremony, held at the community’s durbar grounds, was attended by residents, traditional authorities, opinion leaders and invited guests from nearby communities.

Addressing the gathering, Nana Kweku Ennu III, who also serves as the Mawirerehen of the Oguaa Traditional Council, stated that the project was executed without financial support from any politician.

According to him, the leadership of the community is focused on self-help initiatives aimed at improving living conditions for the people. He emphasized that neither he nor his elders approached any politician for funding towards the sanitation project.

He disclosed that the facility was made possible through the generosity of some individuals who willingly contributed funds and other forms of support to ensure its completion.

The chief expressed appreciation to all who contributed to the project and noted that the new toilet and bathroom facility would significantly improve sanitation, particularly for school children and community members who use the park during public gatherings.

He further urged residents to maintain the facility properly to ensure its sustainability and long-term benefit to the community.

Community members who attended the event described the project as a major step towards addressing sanitation challenges in Kokoado Apewosika.
