The “Anansi–Madamfo Education “Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) have awarded scholarships to five brilliant but needy students to enable them continue their education at the university level.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, the Managing Director of “Anansi–Madamfo NGO,” Mr. Daniel Osei, disclosed that the scholarship scheme is aimed at supporting students who have been part of the Anansi Education system from the SHS level. Mr. Osei, who is also an old student of “Anansi Education”, explained that before any student is considered for tertiary education support, the individual must have been an Anansi student starting from Junior High School (JHS) 3, second term.

According to him, this criterion helps the organization monitor the academic progress, discipline, and commitment of beneficiaries over time, ensuring that support is given to students who truly align with the values of the NGO.

The Founder and Director of Anansi Education NGO also revealed that this commitment to educational support was earlier emphasized during her stay at Mempease, a sub-community within the Cape Coast Metropolis in the Cape Coast North Constituency. She noted that during her interaction with residents, many people came forward seeking assistance, reinforcing the need for sustained educational interventions to support vulnerable students.

In her concluding remarks, Mrs. Ampretwum expressed profound gratitude to the “Madamfo NGOs” for partnering with “Anansi Education” to make the scholarship initiative a success. She appealed to the general public, corporate bodies, and philanthropists to support both Anansi and Madamfo NGOs, so they can extend similar opportunities to more deserving students in the future.

The scholarship award is expected to ease the financial burden on the beneficiaries and motivate other students within the Anansi Education system to strive for academic excellence.
