As part of activities marking its 40th anniversary celebrations, the Cape Coast Technical University (CCTU) has donated 25 pieces of school desks and a collection of library books to Ebubonko Basic School.
The donation was made by the Vice Chancellor of CCTU Prof. Kweku Adutwum Ayim Boakye, together with members of management and the 40th Anniversary Planning Committee, during a brief presentation ceremony held at the school.

According to the planning committee, the gesture forms part of CCTU’s commitment to supporting basic education within surrounding communities and contributing to improved learning conditions for pupils. They noted that as the institution celebrates four decades of academic excellence, it remains dedicated to uplifting educational standards at all levels.
Receiving the items on behalf of the school, Madam Lucy, a senior staff member of Ebubonko Basic School, expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Vice Chancellor and the entire CCTU delegation.
“We are very grateful for this wonderful donation. These desks will reduce overcrowding in our classrooms, and the library books will greatly enhance our pupils’ reading and learning. On behalf of the entire Ebubonko Basic School community, I sincerely thank the Vice Chancellor, management, and the 40th Anniversary Planning Committee for remembering us,” Madam Lucy said.
The visit ended with warm exchanges between the CCTU team and the school staff, reinforcing the university’s commitment to community engagement and educational support.
