Asante Kotoko will begin their pre-season camp in Cape Coast this Wednesday, July 30, following their successful trip to South Africa, where they lifted the 2025 Toyota Cup.
Karim Zito’s side returned home after beating Kaizer Chiefs 5-4 on penalties in Durban. The match ended 0-0 after regular time at the Moses Mabhida Stadium before the Porcupine Warriors triumphed in the shootout.
Speaking to the media, coach Zito confirmed that the players will get a short break before resuming full training in Cape Coast.
“I shouldn’t go all out at the moment. We will start running very soon. Maybe on Wednesday, we’ll begin the pre-season camp in Cape Coast,” he said.
Kotoko are expected to step up preparations for the new Ghana Premier League season, as well as their return to the CAF Confederation Cup. They will also feature in the 2025 GHALCA Top 4 tournament, which is scheduled for August 20–24 at the Baba Yara Stadium.
