The Member of Parliament for Cape Coast North Constituency, Hon. Kwamina Mintah Nyarko, popularly known as Ragga, has called for the inclusion of development projects for his constituency in the Cape Coast Eight-Year Development Plan.

According to the MP, after carefully reviewing the development blueprint launched last year, he realized that none of the proposed projects were earmarked for Cape Coast North. He noted that all the projects outlined in the plan were concentrated in the Cape Coast South area.

Hon. Nyarko expressed concern about what he described as an imbalance in the distribution of development projects within the Cape Coast metropolis. He stressed that residents of Cape Coast North also deserve to benefit from the city’s long-term development agenda.

He therefore demanded that key projects such as the construction of a children’s park and an ultra-modern shopping mall centre should be located in Cape Coast North to ensure fairness and balanced development.

The MP made these remarks during a strategic forum organized to discuss and raise funds to support the implementation of the Eight-Year Development Plan, which is scheduled to run from 2026 to 2033.

Hon. Nyarko emphasized that development must be inclusive and evenly distributed across all parts of the metropolis. He urged planners and stakeholders to review the plan and make the necessary adjustments to incorporate projects that will directly benefit the people of Cape Coast North.

The strategic forum brought together community leaders, stakeholders, and development partners to deliberate on strategies for mobilizing resources to successfully implement the long-term development plan for Cape Coast.
