Mrs. Margaret Baiden, a respected member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Twifo Praso, has urged parents to place greater emphasis on investing in their children’s education rather than concentrating on acquiring wealth and properties.

She made the appeal while speaking to Asorbamedia.com’s reporter, Maama Veee, during the celebration of her 72nd birthday at her residence in Twifo Praso in the Central Region.

According to Mrs. Baiden, education remains the greatest inheritance parents can leave for their children, as it equips them with knowledge, skills, and opportunities to succeed in life.

She noted that although owning property is important, it should not come at the expense of a child’s education. “Properties can be lost or destroyed, but quality education stays with a person throughout life and opens many doors,” she said.

Mrs. Baiden therefore encouraged parents and guardians to sacrifice for their children’s education, stressing that educated children are more likely to become responsible adults who can also support their families and contribute meaningfully to national development.

The 72nd birthday celebration brought together family members, friends, church members, and well-wishers, who joined her in thanking God for His guidance, protection, and blessings throughout her life.

Mrs. Baiden expressed gratitude to God for granting her good health and longevity and thanked everyone who came to celebrate the memorable occasion with her. She also prayed for God’s continued blessings upon her family and the community.
