
Cape Coast, Ghana — A young man believed to be in his 30s has been found dead at Abura in the Cape Coast Metropolis, in front of NAT and Sons Pharmacy.
The incident is reported to have occurred between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, drawing concern among residents and passersby in the area.
According to an eyewitness, Mr. Ali, the deceased suddenly ran towards a young girl who was assisting her mother in selling sachet water nearby. He reportedly picked up a sachet of water, drank it hurriedly, and repeatedly complained, saying, “My heart, my heart.”
Mr. Ali further stated that the man then moved towards NAT and Sons Pharmacy, apparently seeking help. However, before any assistance could be rendered, he collapsed and died on the spot.
The incident attracted a crowd of onlookers who gathered at the scene as news of the tragedy spread through the community.
Personnel from the Abura Police Command were called to the scene and have since conveyed the body to the mortuary for preservation and further investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.
The identity of the deceased remains unknown at the time of filing this report.
