The visit followed Coastal Television’s recognition as Best Media House of the Year at the 6th edition of the Osabarimba Royal Awards 2026, held two weeks ago, an event that celebrates excellence, leadership, and outstanding contributions to national development.

Speaking during the visit, Mrs. Gifty Nyomi conveyed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the board, management, and staff of Coastal Television for the prestigious honour. She described the award as a strong motivation for the media house to continue upholding professionalism, ethical journalism, and impactful storytelling, particularly in amplifying coastal and community-based issues.

“This award is not just a recognition of our work, but a responsibility placed on us to do more for society. We are deeply honoured and thankful to Osabarimba Dr. Kwesi Atta II and the entire awards committee for believing in our vision and contribution to the media landscape,” Mrs. Nyomi stated.

Osabarimba Dr. Kwesi Atta II, in his response, congratulated Coastal Television for its consistency, innovation, and commitment to development-oriented broadcasting. He commended the media house for using its platform to promote culture, education, and social cohesion, especially within coastal communities.

He further encouraged Coastal Television to remain steadfast in its mission and continue serving as a credible voice for the people.

The Osabarimba Royal Awards, now in its sixth year, has grown into a respected platform that recognizes excellence across media, leadership, entrepreneurship, culture, and community service. The 2026 edition brought together traditional authorities, corporate leaders, media practitioners, and distinguished guests from across the country.

The visit to the palace ended on a cordial note, reaffirming the strong relationship between traditional leadership and the media in promoting development and positive societal values.
