In the spirit of Christmas and community development, the Assembly Member for the Akatekyewa Yamoransa Electoral Area, Hon. Ebenezer Mbir, has donated books and other essential learning materials to school children at the Roman Catholic Church, Woraba Congregation, and the Methodist Church, Eguase Congregation.
The presentation, which formed part of Christmas activities in the two communities, was aimed at supporting children’s education and encouraging a strong reading culture among the youth. The learning materials included exercise books, textbooks, pens, and other basic educational supplies needed for effective learning at school.
Addressing the congregations, Hon. Ebenezer Mbir emphasized the importance of education as a foundation for national and community development. He noted that the Christmas season provides an opportunity not only for celebration but also for showing love and investing in the future of children.
“Education remains one of the strongest tools we can give to our children. These books and learning materials are meant to support you in school and motivate you to take your studies seriously,” he said.
Hon. Mbir encouraged parents and guardians to continuously support their children’s education and appealed to the children to make good use of the materials provided. He also reaffirmed his commitment to promoting educational development and the general welfare of residents within the Akatekyewa Yamoransa Electoral Area.
Leaders of both the Roman Catholic Woraba Congregation and the Methodist Church Eguase Congregation expressed their appreciation to Hon. Ebenezer Mbir for the kind gesture. They described the donation as timely and impactful, especially during the festive season, and offered prayers for his continued service to the community.
The children, who received the items with excitement and joy, thanked the Assembly Member for remembering them during Christmas. The gesture was widely applauded by community members, who commended Hon. Mbir for his dedication to education and grassroots development.
