The Director General of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, has confirmed that no tickets will be sold at the stadium on matchday for Ghana’s crucial 2026 World Cup qualifier against Mali.
The Black Stars are set to host The Eagles on Monday, September 8, in Matchday 8 of the qualification campaign.
Ampofo Ankrah explained that the decision comes after challenges with seating arrangements and crowd control during previous home games. He stressed that the measure is intended to prevent congestion and ensure a safe and orderly experience for all spectators.

“We want to avoid the last-minute rush we experienced during the Ghana versus Chad match, where many fans came to the gates without tickets, hoping to buy on the day,” he said.
The NSA has strongly advised fans not to come to the stadium without tickets, emphasizing that no tickets will be available for purchase on matchday.
Kick-off is scheduled for 19:00 GMT, and the Black Stars will be aiming for a win to strengthen their chances of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted jointly by the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
Fans are urged to secure their tickets through official channels in advance to avoid missing out on this vital fixture.
