The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, in collaboration with the Regional Coordinating Council, has donated assorted food items to the Muslim Council in the Central Region ahead of the Ramadan season.
Presenting the items on her behalf, the Regional Political Coordinator and Presidential Staffer, Mike Dery, together with the Central Regional Minister, Ekow Okyere Panyin Eduamoah, encouraged the Muslim community to remember the government in their prayers. They appealed for divine strength and guidance for leadership in delivering on its mandate to develop both the region and the nation.

They also called for prayers for global peace, particularly urging an end to tensions involving Iran, the United States, and Israel, noting that such conflicts have contributed to rising crude oil prices, which continue to impact Ghana’s economy.
The Mayor of the Cape Coast Metropolis, George Justice Arthur, commended efforts to support the Muslim community during the fasting period. He highlighted that Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has consistently extended such support over the years, including during her time in opposition.
He further urged the Muslim Council to continue praying for peace, unity, and development in both the Central Region and the country at large.
