The District Fire Officer (DFO) of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) District, DOII, Dorinda Ackah, has commended the fire service personnel for their incredible dedication and teamwork throughout the year, describing their collective achievements as remarkable.

Speaking at the UCC District Fire Service end-of-year get-together party held in 2025, Madam Ackah reflected on the demanding nature of their work and the successes chalked up despite numerous challenges.

According to her, the UCC District Fire Service responded adequately to a total of 104 fire outbreaks, three road traffic accidents, and three cases of bee invasion within the year. She noted that these incidents required swift action, technical expertise, and a high level of commitment from officers on duty.
Madam Ackah attributed the successful handling of these emergencies to the resilience, dedication, and bravery demonstrated by the entire team. She emphasized that each officer remained committed to their responsibility of protecting lives and property, even under difficult and risky circumstances.
She further explained that beyond emergency response, the district actively engaged in training programs, fire safety education, and other preventive activities aimed at reducing fire incidents and improving public awareness.
“The achievements we celebrate today are the result of teamwork, discipline, and our shared commitment to service,” she stated, adding that continuous training and community education remain key priorities for the district.
Madam Ackah concluded by encouraging officers to remain focused and united as they prepare for the challenges of the coming year, assuring them of her continued support and leadership.
The event ended on a cheerful note, as officers and invited guests celebrated a year of hard work, sacrifice, and service to the community.
