Cape Coast, July 22, 2026 – Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Cape Coast South Constituency Chairperson, Madam Carolyn Ewusi, has assured women in the Central Region of renewed hope and stronger representation if she is elected the party’s Central Regional Women’s Organizer.
Speaking to the media after successfully going through the party’s vetting exercise at the NPP Central Regional Office in Cape Coast, Madam Ewusi said she is committed to empowering women across the region and strengthening the women’s wing of the party.
According to her, the NPP can only return to power in the 2028 general elections if women are well-organized, motivated, and actively involved in the party’s activities. She stressed that women remain the backbone of the party and deserve the necessary support and opportunities to contribute effectively.
Madam Ewusi pledged to introduce initiatives that would unite women across all constituencies in the Central Region, enhance grassroots mobilization, and equip them with the skills and confidence needed to campaign vigorously for the party.
She appealed to delegates to entrust her with their mandate, assuring them that her experience as the former Chairperson of the Cape Coast South Constituency has prepared her to effectively serve as the Central Regional Women’s Organizer.
Madam Carolyn Ewusi expressed confidence in a peaceful and transparent election and urged all aspirants to maintain unity before and after the polls, emphasizing that the ultimate goal is to build a stronger NPP capable of reclaiming power in 2028.
