Former Minister for Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development, former Central Regional Minister, and former Municipal Chief Executive for the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abirem (KEEA) Municipality, Engineer Dr. Nana Ato Arthur, has expressed his profound appreciation to delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the peaceful and orderly conduct of the party’s constituency executive elections held over the weekend.

Speaking after monitoring the elections, Dr. Nana Ato Arthur said he was highly impressed by the discipline, unity, and enthusiasm demonstrated by delegates throughout the electoral process.

According to him, he monitored the elections in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese (AAK) District on Saturday and continued to the KEEA Constituency on Sunday. He noted that the large voter turnout and the peaceful atmosphere at the various polling centres reflected the party’s growing strength and commitment to democratic principles.

“I am deeply grateful to all the delegates for the peaceful manner in which they conducted themselves during the elections. The impressive turnout and the unity I witnessed give me great confidence in the future of our party,” he stated.

Dr. Nana Ato Arthur further indicated that, based on what he observed over the two-day exercise, he is optimistic that the New Patriotic Party will reorganize effectively and work tirelessly to regain political power in the 2028 general elections, leading to the formation of the next government in 2029.

He urged the newly elected constituency executives to work together with all party members, set aside their differences, and focus on strengthening the NPP at the grassroots ahead of the next general election.

The constituency executive elections were held across various constituencies in the Central Region and were generally characterized by peaceful voting, high participation, and a strong display of internal party democracy.
