Presenting the items, Hon. Dr. Kwamina Mintah Nyarko stated that the donation forms part of his social responsibility and commitment to improving healthcare services for the people of Cape Coast North.

Speaking to the media, the MP emphasized that access to quality healthcare remains a priority and that the provision of the hospital beds and mattresses would help address some of the challenges faced by the health facilities.

“As part of my social responsibility and commitment to the wellbeing of my constituents, it is important that we support our healthcare facilities with the needed equipment to enable them provide quality services to the people,” he said.

Receiving the items on behalf of the beneficiary facilities, the Cape Coast Metropolitan Director of Health Services, Dr. Samuel Kobina Ofoso, expressed gratitude to the Member of Parliament for the timely intervention.

He noted that the donation would significantly improve healthcare delivery across the beneficiary facilities. Dr. Ofoso, however, disclosed that some of the health centres, particularly Nkanfoa Clinic and a number of others, urgently require renovation to enhance service delivery and provide a conducive environment for both health workers and patients.

He appealed to stakeholders, development partners and philanthropists to support efforts aimed at rehabilitating the affected facilities.

The donation has been widely welcomed by health professionals and community members, who described it as a significant contribution towards strengthening healthcare infrastructure in the constituency.
