Cape Coast, July 15, 2026 – Madam Dorothy Appiah, an aspiring Assistant Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Central Region, has called on party delegates and aspirants to reject the politics of insults and focus on presenting practical ideas that will help the party recapture political power.

Speaking to the media after picking up her nomination forms at the NPP Central Regional Office in Cape Coast on Wednesday, Madam Appiah, who hails from the Mfantseman Constituency, stressed that the party’s internal elections should be conducted in an atmosphere of unity, respect and healthy competition.
According to her, the NPP can only emerge stronger if aspirants campaign on their vision, competence and commitment to serve rather than engaging in personal attacks and insults against one another.
She advised delegates to carefully assess the capabilities of all aspirants and elect leaders who possess the experience, dedication and humility needed to strengthen the party ahead of future national elections.
Madam Dorothy Appiah noted that, if elected as Assistant Regional Secretary, she would work tirelessly with the Regional Executive Committee, constituency executives and grassroots members to improve party administration, promote effective communication and unite members across the Central Region.
She appealed to delegates to support her candidature, assuring them of transparent, dedicated and selfless service to advance the fortunes of the New Patriotic Party in the region.
The NPP is expected to hold its regional delegates conference in the coming weeks to elect new regional executives who will steer the affairs of the party in the Central Region.
