Albert Tagoe Honoured at Forty Under 40 Awards

Albert Nii Ayi Tagoe, Head of Finance and Investment at the Ghana Commodity Exchange (GCX), has been recognised for his outstanding contributions to financial literacy at the 9th edition of the Forty Under 40 Awards held on September 5, 2025.

Tagoe, who has more than a decade of experience in financial management, has made a notable impact through his publications and training initiatives. He is the author of three influential books — How to Raise Capital for Your Startup Business, Money Health, and Money Behaviour — which have reached thousands of Ghanaians through workshops, masterclasses, media appearances, and community outreach.

His efforts have also included donating over 600 copies of his books to universities, schools, churches, and community groups to promote financial literacy.

The Forty Under 40 Awards, organised by Xodus Communications Limited with support from the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, celebrate individuals under 40 who are making remarkable contributions in their respective industries, recognising leadership, innovation, and sustainability.

Expressing his gratitude, Tagoe said, “I remain grateful for the opportunity to inspire and impact through my writing. The feedback from readers has been most inspiring. I must say God bless you all.”

At the GCX, Tagoe has played a key role in driving financial strategies, including warehouse receipt and aggregation financing for rural banks, aggregators, and smallholder farmers, contributing to a significant increase in the exchange’s profitability.

Tagoe’s profile also includes collaborations with the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), where he has delivered nationwide training on agricultural financing. He is a Chartered Global Management Accountant, a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana, and holds an MBA in Finance with Distinction from Coventry University, UK.
