Ghana’s High Commissioner to Canada Visits Cape Coast Technical Universit

Dora Edu Buandoh

Cape Coast, Ghana — Ghana’s High Commissioner to Canada, Her Excellency Professor Dora Francisca Edu-Buandoh, has paid a familiarisation visit to Cape Coast Technical University (CCTU) as part of efforts to engage with key educational institutions and understand their challenges.

The visit, which forms part of her broader mission to foster international collaboration in education, focused particularly on strengthening technical and vocational education and training (TVET). Her Excellency pledged her commitment to supporting the university’s niche area of renewable energy, a sector she believes holds promise for both local development and international cooperation.

“I will use my office to connect Canadian partners with Cape Coast Technical University to enhance the development of TVET education,” she stated during her interaction with the university leadership.

Welcoming the High Commissioner, Vice-Chancellor Professor Kwaku Adutwum Ayim Boakye expressed profound gratitude for the visit and her assurances of support. He noted that partnerships with institutions abroad would significantly contribute to the university’s strategic goals, especially in areas of innovation and sustainable energy.

The visit comes shortly after Prof. Edu-Buandoh’s appointment as Ghana’s High Commissioner to Canada, a development widely regarded as a proud and momentous occasion for both the nation and the Ghanaian diaspora in North America.
